um, DNA is like, GTACTACTATAC or whatever, right? and each letter matches up with a letter across from it (it's been a while since i learned this) in the double helix. So, that contains People-Building-Plans. Those are pretty much the instructions when you're being made (in a tummy). Each trait is pretty specific though. What i mean is that, each is decided separately, and even then, it's up to chance a lot of the time.

Let's say your mom's got blonde hair. Your dad's got brown hair, though. Blonde hair is recessive. Brown hair is dominant. Your dad's hair-genes would either look like "Bb" or "BB" because a dominant gene means that even one (out of two) makes it. Your mom's hair-genes are "bb" because recessive means she can only be blonde if she has two out of two genes.

If your dad's genes are Bb, you've got a 25% chance of being blonde. If he's got "BB" genes, you will be brown haired. If you mean traits as in like, how neat or nice or mean you are, thats debatable. I'd say it's equal parts genes and environment, but im no scientist.

What kind of trait appeared in the first generation?

In the first generation, new traits arise from the combination of genetic material from the two parent organisms. These traits result from the recombination of genetic material during reproduction, leading to genetic diversity in the offspring.

What Traits that appear to blend are the result of?

Traits that appear to blend are often the result of genetic variation from both parents. This blending of traits occurs during the process of genetic recombination and inheritance, where offspring inherit a combination of genetic material from each parent. This can lead to a mixture of traits from both parents, resulting in a unique combination in the offspring.

Are majority of a males traits inherited from his father?

No, the inheritance of traits is determined by a combination of genetic material from both parents. While males inherit some traits from their fathers, they also inherit genetic material from their mothers. This means that a male's traits are a complex mix of both parental contributions.

The result of a genetic cross can be shown in a Punnett square which is?

to understand the traits and if there dominit or recesive

How do species get their traits?

Species inherit their traits through a combination of genetic material passed down from their parents and random mutations that occur over time. These traits can be influenced by natural selection, genetic drift, and gene flow, leading to the diversity of traits seen within a species.

How does meiosis contribute to the genetic traits of a ReeBop offspring?

Meiosis is a type of cell division that produces gametes with half the genetic material of the parent cell. This leads to genetic variation in the offspring due to the random assortment of genes and crossing over of genetic material during meiosis. This diversity in genetic traits is essential for the ReeBop offspring to inherit a unique combination of traits from the parents.

What are genetic changes?

Genetic changes are alterations in the DNA sequence of an organism. These changes can result from mutations, which are permanent changes in the DNA, or from genetic recombination, where genetic material is exchanged between organisms. Genetic changes can lead to variations in traits, evolution, and genetic disorders.

Spontaneous changes in genetic material are called?

Spontaneous changes in genetic material are called mutations. These changes can occur naturally during DNA replication or as a result of environmental factors such as radiation or chemicals. Mutations can affect an organism's traits and may contribute to genetic diversity in a population.

What are characteristics called that an offspring inherits from its parents?

Traits or characteristics that an offspring inherits from its parents are known as genetic traits or inherited traits. These traits are determined by the genetic material passed down from the parents to their offspring.

Within your cells the genetic material that controls your traits is located in an organelle called?

Within your cells, the genetic material that controls your traits is located in an organelle called the nucleus. The nucleus contains DNA, which consists of genes that code for proteins and determine an individual's traits and characteristics.

How is the genetic material in two daughter cells similar to the genetic material in the parent cell?

It depends if the daughter cells were produced as a result of fertilization or cloned. If fertilized the genetic material isn't same but if cloned the genetic material is 100% same.
