Musicians only want to think about their music - without realizing that the electronics in their amplifiers and their iPods are a direct result of the microminiaturization that was developed in ballistic missile technology and nuclear weapons. 99% of all modern medical technologies are spinoffs of the computer developments, and all modern telecommunications depends on satellites. But because it is taken for granted, they can ignore the source of the technological marvels.
