Growing Ganoderma Lucidum At Home
Extract from Growing Gourmet and Medicinal Mushrooms by Paul Stamets:
Ganoderma lucidum grows on oaks, and other hardwoods and it readily fruits on a variety of conifer and hardwood sawdust mixtures
In nature it is found on a wide variety of woods, typically on dead or dying trees, primarily on deciduous woods, especially oak, maple, elm, willow, sweetgum, magnolia, locust, and in the Orient, on plums. Found on stumps, especially near the soil interface, and occasionally on soils arising from buried roots.
You can collect dried G. lucidum from your local Asian supermarket. G. lucidum is mainly sold for its spore content because that is what is most active medicinally so they sell you the mushroom gills in the shop.
Also due to the nature of spores you can be guaranteed that any part of a Ganoderma Lucidum mushroom will be covered in spores.
Alternatively if you do not wish to use wood to start your mycelium culture you can buy nutrient agar and petri dishes on eBay.

The best word the describes home is FAMILY. Home is where you came from, and that is where you will be going back as your grow old. When you grow old, you ought to find your home which becomes your FAMILY.
