You can all save the planet, each and every one you, rich and poor, portly and poorly, carefree or careful, in so many ways. You can start by small changes, such as organizing your recycling, make sure the right waste goes in the right bins and dispose of all items properly.

For example, make sure you don't try and recycle polystyrene- the chemicals inside it can mix with other potential waste. Contact a recycling facility in your area that will accept polystyrene. And, when printing paper at work, however much you want your paper to look very nice- always go for a small (but readable,) font, with a small letter-spacing, to use less pages, and print less. It gives 1001 short, quick and easy fail-safe ways of leaving a small carbon footprint, from giving you advice on proper recycling methods, to things that you can use a composter for, to the most obvious of things, such as, turn things off at the switch at night, and don't ever leave any appliances on standby. Yarrow's book is an inspirational guide-book, that should be read, at all costs, and should be owned by every person in the planet. To top it off, each copy is made from recyclable paper, that can be recycled again when you're done with it. Truly, a book for a book.
