How did 2pm get started?

Weeelllll....they auditioned for JYPE of course, and then Jaebeom, Taecyeon, Nichkhun, Junho, Chansung, Junsu, Wooyoung, and the members of 2AM (when the group wasn't formed yet), and Doojoon (from B2ST), and 2 people named Daehun and Li Shi Qi, were in a survival show called "Mnet Hot Blood" to compete for a spot in the group called Oneday, which later split into two groups called 2PM and 2AM. Doojoon, Li Shi Qi, and Jinwoon (from 2AM) were eliminated from the show, but since Daehun, who wasn't eliminated from the show withdrew from JYPE, Jinwoon got a spot in 2AM. 2PM was just after they were split up into 2 groups.

2PM was formed by JYP Entertainment in 2008 through a reality show called "Hot Blood Men." The group originally consisted of 11 members but then debuted with 7 members in September 2008. They quickly rose to fame with their debut single "10 Out of 10" and have since become one of the leading K-pop boy bands.
