How did china's geography affect its devilment?
Russia's vast size and harsh physical geography, including its cold climate, rugged terrain, and vast distances, have influenced settlement patterns. Most people have historically settled in the more hospitable regions of the west, south, and the Ural Mountains. These areas have better access to resources like water, fertile land, and milder climates, facilitating agricultural development and urbanization, while the vast Siberian region remains less populated due to its harsh conditions.
Physical means What the Earth is like. Human means How and where we live. Environmental means How we affect our surroundings.
Colombia's diverse physical geography, featuring mountains, valleys, plains, and coastlines, significantly influences the daily lives of its people. The Andes Mountains, for instance, create varied climates and ecosystems, affecting agriculture and settlement patterns, while the Amazon rainforest contributes to biodiversity and resource availability. Additionally, the country's rivers facilitate transportation and trade, but also pose challenges during heavy rains and flooding. Overall, geography shapes economic activities, cultural practices, and access to services across different regions.
Ethnicity influences the distribution of populations across regions, shaping cultural landscapes and patterns of settlement. It can affect how land is used and managed, impacting the physical and social geography of an area. Ethnic groups may have distinct relationships with their environment, influencing resource utilization and land use practices.

Mountains in East and Southern Africa influence the physical geography by creating barriers that affect weather patterns and the distribution of natural resources. They also contribute to biodiversity by providing unique habitats for flora and fauna. In terms of human geography, mountains can influence settlement patterns and agricultural practices, as well as play a role in traditional beliefs and cultural practices of indigenous populations.

Physical Geography is the natural side of geography. Weather, rocks, soils, etc. Human is cities, roads, buildings, urbanization, etc. We humans affect physical geography by living. We build roads and buildings. Our cities cause a heat island which is kind of a bubble of heat in urban areas. This is hotter than the surrounding cities. It can influence rain and climate downwind of the heat island. We dump things chancing the soils. There are other ways, but this is a general start on some of the ways that human geography affects physical geography.
The three general factors that affect rural settlement—physical geography, economic opportunities, and social dynamics—significantly influenced the concession system in Canada. Physical geography dictated the layout of concession roads and land parcels, facilitating agricultural development in areas with fertile soil and accessible water sources. Economic opportunities, such as proximity to markets and resources, shaped settlement patterns, encouraging communities to form around productive agricultural lands. Lastly, social dynamics, including the influx of immigrants and cultural practices, affected land distribution and community organization, leading to diverse settlement patterns within the concession system.
for me, geography greatly affects history in a sense that geography is not only focusing on the physical features of a land but also in human activities which according to my research belongs to human geography.
