they dont god made you not cells
When a man and a woman have a baby, in the man's sperm there is one set of genes and in the woman's egg there is only one set of genes wheras with every other cell in your body there are two sets of genes. Your last set of genes determines if you are a boy or a girl, if you are XX, you are a girl, if you are XY, you are a boy. Hope this helps.
Every human being begins life as a single cell known as a zygote, formed through the union of an egg cell and a sperm cell during fertilization.
Placing a cell nucleus inside a nucleus-free egg cell enables the egg to begin dividing because the introduced nucleus carries the genetic information necessary for cell division. The nucleus contains the DNA that instructs the egg cell to start dividing and developing into an embryo. This process, known as somatic cell nuclear transfer, reprograms the egg cell to start cell division by activating the genes in the introduced nucleus.
haploid.
A diploid cell is one that has two copies of its genetic information. Each copy is from a different parent. For example,All of the cells in your body (muscle, bone, brain, eye, etc.) are diploid. A haploid cell is one that has a single copy of its genetic information. For example, sperm and egg cells are haploid.
The egg cell or ovum contains genes contributed only by the mother. During fertilization, the egg cell combines with a sperm cell, which contributes genes from the father, to form a zygote with genetic material from both parents.
half
Yes. Every Cell in the body, with the exception of egg and sperm Cells, has a complete set of the genes [chromosome pairs] in its nucleus and are thus diploid. The egg and sperm Cells have only half of a 'Set of Chromosomes' and are thus haploid.
No, as one half of a baby's genes must come from an egg cell and the other half must come from a sperm cell.
process of pregnancy
sperm main function is to carry the male genes to the egg
there are 23 chromosomes in an egg and sperm cell these then combine

The male produces sperm cells, which carry his genes. The sperm cell meets an egg cell from the female which carries her genes. The sperm cell penetrates the egg's outer layer. This is called "fertilizing" the egg. Normally, the outer layer of the fertilized cell thickens, so no more sperm cells can enter it. The fertilized egg then travels to the woman's uterus, where it attaches to the wall of the uterus and ultimately develops into a fetus.
The egg is the gamete produced by the female.
