In short, Light Amplification by Stimulated Emission of Radiation. Now, to explain. In a laser, there is something called a MEDIUM. This is where the photons are made. In all substances, there are atoms. In the atoms, there are electrons. The electrons are on orbits around the nucleus of an atom. There are more than one orbiting each atom. The electrons are EXCITED by getting hit by photons. The electrons absorb the energy from the photons they are hit by. To be on a certain orbit, the electron needs to have a certain amount of energy. When an electron is hit by a photon, it GAINS ENERGY so is jumps up to another orbit, because it has too much energy to stay on it's normal orbit. The electrons, though, ALWAYS have to go back to their original orbit (a law of physics) and in doing so, it needs to release energy in the form of a photon. Mirrors focus the light and it then comes out of the gun. There are more factors, but they are complicated and I cannot explain them for now. The main thing is the Excitation of the electrons then the release of the photons.

How can lasers burn through anything?

Lasers burn through materials by delivering high-intensity, concentrated light energy in a focused beam. This energy heats up and vaporizes the material, breaking down its molecular structure and causing it to melt or burn away. The ability of a laser to cut or burn through something depends on factors like the power level, wavelength, and duration of the laser beam.

Difference between a laser and a burning laser?

Burning lasers create more heat than normal lasers. Strictly speaking, Laser include burning laser. Burning lasers are powerful laser pointers like 300mW or above, they can burn objects like paper and tapes.

What is the difference between cold and hot lasers?

Cold lasers are safer and deal less pain than hot lasers. Cold lasers are usually used for repairing skin damage and treating pain and inflammation. Hot lasers are simply used for burning things.

Can 5mw green lasers burn?

No, 5mW green lasers are generally not powerful enough to burn objects or cause damage. They are considered low-power lasers and are typically used for pointing, alignment, or in presentations. If you need a laser for burning, you would need a much more powerful laser, such as a high-powered handheld laser or a laser cutter.

Do fraxel laser treatments burn the skin on face?

Yes. Fractional lasers can burn the face, leaving scars on the surface and even causing fat atrophy to the subcutaneous fat layer. They can burn the retina of the eye and cause damage to the thyroid.
