sugar (usually glucose) is broken into 3 carbon sugars which are oxidized to make carbon dioxide. The remaining atoms form 2 pyruvate molecules per every one glucose molecule. This process is called glycolysis and produces a net gain of 2 ATP's (ATP=energy). Then the Kreb's Cycle takes over: The pyruvates are then broken into Carbon Dioxide molecules and more ATP is produced. Last comes oxidative phosphorylation: Energy from the electron transport chain is used for ATP synthesis. All of this takes place in the mitochondria of a cell, with the exception of Glycolysis which is in the cytosol.

They use the energy of light. This energy is stored in glucose.

What do osmophiles eat?

Osmophiles are microorganisms that thrive in environments with high sugar concentrations, such as fruits, nectar, and honey. They use sugar as a carbon and energy source for their growth and metabolism.

What does the suns energy use to make sugar and oxygen?

Photosynthesis

What produce use light energy to make?

Producers use light energy through Photosynthesis to make a sugar from carbon dioxide (CO2) and water. This sugar is called Glucose (O2)

What are examples of chemical energy transformed into muscular energy?

It is the sugar or fat in your body that your muscle cells use to make energy. Thus, it depends ultimately on your sugar.

Its obvious. For 'photo' synthesis.they use the energy in the sunlight to make sugar.

In plants mitochondria use light energy to make sugar?

No it is not mitochondria. It is the chloroplast

What use the sun to make sugar?

Plants use the sun's energy to make sugar. During photosynthesis, chemical energy is stored in the fruits, grains, and vegetables made by the sun's energy. Chemical energy in this case is a food made by the sun. In this whole process, light energy is being converted into chemical energy.

Does fat and sugar make you gain weight?

They can do. Fat and sugar are high in energy if you eat and don't use all the energy you consume then it will be stored as fat. many people eat far more energy than they use.

What does your body use readily for energy?

The easiest thing for the body to use for energy is glucose, basic sugar. It can make ATP from this which is what powers the body.

Why are mitochondria important to a plant cells?

-because mitochondria make energy. -they use sugar and oxyen to make energy in the process called cellular respiration. -fermination make energy using sugar for animals. -and photosynthes make energy using water, carbon dioxiode, and sunlight using chloroplast.

Where do cells get to produce the energy from?

Animal cells use forms of sugar to make energy using the organelles called mitochondria.
