Get a sim to go to the university, you can make it staright off or move a teen into college by either computer or phone.
When you've done that complete the course in paranormal career path. Its basically like a job/school.
When you've graduated from that course move back home and get a job in paranormal.
When you've got a job in paranormal get promoted about 4 times.
When you've got promoted look on career rewards and buy the Reaper phone or the paranormal object.
You can quit the job once you've brought the phone and because of you're degree you can get any job.
