There is not such unit as a "liquid pound" (unlike a liquid ounce, which does exist).
To go from a weight in number of pounds of a liquid to a volume in gallons, you need to know the density of the liquid.
The conversion factor that I have used to convert g/l to oz/gal is 0.1335264. Ex: 150 g/l X 0.1335264 = 20.02 oz/gal This factor and many others may be found within the publication "Measure4Measure."
1 oz = 28.3495 g
→ To convert ounces to grams multiply by 28.3495, though multiplying by 28 will be close enough for small values.
→ To convert grams to ounces divide by 28.3495, though dividing by 28 will be close enough for small values.
When recipes are converted for cooking, the value of 1 oz = 25 g is usually used. As the conversion makes 4 oz = 100 g, whereas 100g is much closer to 3½ oz, you cannot mix imperial and metric measures in a recipe.
A U.S. liquid gallon of water weighs about 8.33 pounds at 62°F
There is a memory rhyme:
A pint is a pound
the worlds around
And as there are two pints in a quart and 4 quarts in a gallon, a gallon weighs about 8 pounds.
(I really do love the metric system, everything like these conversions is so much easier!)
The U.S. liquid gallon is legally defined as 231 cubic inches, and is equal to exactly 3.785411784 litres (1 L = 10−3 m3) or 0.133680555… cubic feet. This is the most common definition of a gallon in the United States. The U.S. fluid ounce is defined as 1/128 of a U.S. gallon.
The U.S. dry gallon is one-eighth of a U.S. Winchester bushel of 2150.42 cubic inches, thus it is equal to exactly 268.8025 cubic inches or 4.40488377086 litres. The U.S. dry gallon is less commonly used, and is not listed in the relevant statute, which jumps from the dry quart to the peck.
The Imperial (UK) gallon was legally defined as 4.54609 litres. This definition is used in some Commonwealth countries and Ireland, and is based on the volume of 10 pounds of water at 62 °F. (A U.S. liquid gallon of water weighs about 8.33 pounds at the same temperature.) The Imperial fluid ounce is defined as 1/160 of an Imperial gallon.
A difficult formula for exactness. Roughly, you divide grams by 30 to get approximate ounces. OR multiply ounces by 30 to get approximate grams. ie , 120 grams is 4 about ounces.
-The actual figure is 28.34 - if your math skills can deal with dividing and multiplying that mentally, then go for it .
Use this formula: ounces per gallon x 7.4891 = grams per liter.
Grams per gallon x 0.002205 = pounds per gallon
One ounce = 28.35 grams
1g in 100mL = 1%
1 oz = 28.3495 g
One US gallon = 128 fluid ounces.
Both are volume measures. 1 Gallon = 3.78 liter 1 liter = 0.26 gallon
Yes, there are 128 ounces in a gallon and only 33 ounces in a liter. Addenda There are 0.219969 litres in an Imperial gallon. A litre is therefore, much smaller than a gallon. There are 8 pints in a gallon. There are either 20 or 16 fluid ounces in a pint, depending on which system you use.
A quarter of a gallon is 0.25 gallon. We also call that a quart, and there are 4 quarts in a gallon (just as you may have guessed).
Easy. Multiply grams per milliliter by 1,000 to get grams per liter. So, 1.56 x 1,000 = 1,560 grams per liter.
200 mg per liter = 0.0267052942 ounces per US gallon.
1 milligram per liter = 0.000121703815 troy ounces per US gallon. So, multiply the number of mg per liter by 0.000121703815 to get troy ounces per US gallon. Example, 500 (milligrams per liter) x 0.000121703815 = 0.0608519075 troy ounces per US gallon.
Plug your numbers into this formula: mg per liter x 0.003785 = grams per US gallon210 mg per L x 0.003785 = about 0.794936 grams per US gallon.
54 mg per liter = 0.2 grams per US gallon.
200 mg per liter = 0.0267 ounces per US gallon.
1820 grams in a British gallon.
.21 pounds per US gallon is about 25.163 grams per liter.
One US gallon = 128 fluid ounces.
Multiply grams per liter by 0.001 to get grams per milliliter.
There are 28.3495231 grams in one ounce. Therefore to get amount of grams in ounces, value in ounces has to be multiplied by amount of grams in one ounce: 32 ounce = [ounce] * 28.3495231 = 32 * 28.3495231 = 907.1847 grams
1 liter = 0.2642 gallons 1 gallon = 3.785 liters
Liters x 33.81 = fluid ounces
