IQ scores are determined by comparing results of the Stanford-Binet scales of a person and compare them to other test-takers of the same age. The score is then considered based on its variance with the other results using a "normal curve".

Certain ranges have been designated for normal intelligence and categories above and below the normal.

By these criteria, the middle 68% of all scores becomes the "average" range. which ranges from 80-110.

Unfortunately, this test is not a great indicator of IQ as it cannot account for things such as test taking skills, anxiety and other factors.

How do you measure IQ level?

IQ, or intelligence quotient, is typically measured using standardized tests designed to assess a range of cognitive abilities, including reasoning, problem-solving, and comprehension. Common tests include the Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale (WAIS) and the Stanford-Binet Intelligence Scale. The results are then compared to a normative sample to determine an individual's score relative to the general population, with an average IQ set at 100. It's important to note that while IQ tests can provide insights into cognitive abilities, they do not encompass the entirety of a person's intelligence or potential.

Is 200 a good IQ scorE?

An IQ score of 200 is extremely rare and would place someone at the very top of the IQ scale, representing extraordinary intellectual abilities. However, IQ scores above 160 are often not reliably measurable due to limitations of current testing norms.

What was Isaac newton's IQ?

Isaac Newton died long before IQ tests were invented. When you look at the huge advances he made in both Physics and mathematics and the typically high IQs of modern theoretical physicists and mathematicians it seems fair to assume it would be pretty high but there is no way to put an actual number on it.

How are Stanford-Binet intelligence scale results measured?

.The test has a mean, or average, standard score of 100 and a standard deviation of 16 (subtests have a mean of 50 and a standard deviation of 8). The standard deviation indicates how far above or below the norm the subject's score is.
