A dark or black aura generally means that the carrier (of that aura) is ill, diseased, infected, etc.- or is to become ill in the future; or the carrier just has a darker personality. I have studied things like these myself, and i am pretty experienced with auric sight, but a few people have told me I have a black aura. I am not ill, that i know of, and have had a 'black aura' since the third grade (I am now in the seventh). I have never had a major illness or injury. A dark aura is not necessarily depicting that you are sick, or are going to die, or whatever, but can mean many things, like you are depressed, or a sadness lurks deep inside of you somewhere. There is no definite way to define what having an dark aura means, or how you can get one, but if you do have one, it doesn't automatically mean you are doomed with Leukemia...it might just even mean that you have a stomach virus, or the flu. Though generally [from my experience] it just means that person is of a depressed, or sad nature or personality.
Though, i would not rely on this completely. All people interpret, and read auras differently. I could just read depressed people as dark aurics..maybe, maybe not. No one knows. All people view auras differently, so there is no definite answer to your question, though i have covered the basics of it...
