How do you get over someone when you been with them for a long time?

Generally most women/men have moved on from their ex by now even though on occasion they may look back with some sadness. You haven't even given yourself a chance! Get out with friends, mix and mingle with others because there are lots of great people out there and there is that special someone for you, but unless you get busy socially and untangle yourself from the web of your ex, you are in for one lonely life. You've put this guy on a pedestal when he doesn't belong there. Get mad, think of this guy/girl having gotten on with his/her life without another thought of you and there you sit! Get up, get going!

im afraid you will only get over someone if you want to! im sorry to hear about your break up and the fact that as you say you were together a long time means its going to be hard to adjust to not having them in your life as much as they used to be. it may sound terribly corny but it is true when they say time is a healer because from personal experience it is! try to focus on things you enjoy at the moment. maybe spend a lot more time with friends? go out socialise make new friends! whatever you do do NOT sit around moping about your ex and try not to think about the break up to much and what went wrong and how you could have made things different. chances are your too good for them anyways and they dont deserve you so just keep you chin up and you will find the right one one day, there is somebody out there for everybody and they will come along when we least expect it.
