I suggest you let it settle in before you start holding it a lot
because it may not be used to playing with a person rather
then another gerbil. When I got my gerbils, I held them both
a little each day because they still need love and comfort but
they don't want to be squeezed to death. You can also give them
a more special treat like fruit or veggies instead of their boring
food mix, but don't give it to often or they might get sick. The
thing they love the most is a huge area to play in. If you have
and toys that you can make a home or maze for them, they enjoy
it a lot. They love excercise. My Gerbils like to run in balls. They
also like it when I put them on my kitchen chairs. I separate them
from a distance (less than half a foot) and put a long Paper Towel
roll to connect the chairs. But don't worry. They usually
settle in anyway after 2 to 3 days. :)

The ideal temperature range for a gerbil to live comfortably is between 65-75°F (18-24°C). It is important to avoid temperatures below 60°F (15°C) or above 80°F (27°C) as extreme temperatures can be harmful to gerbils. Providing a consistent and moderate temperature is essential for the well-being of your gerbil.

This will depend upon what exactly you mean by "eye infection". Generally owners consider this to be any inflammatory process occurring in or around the orbit. Inflammation of the conjunctiva (the pink membrane around the inside of the orbit) is one of the more common "eye infections" people will describe. With conjunctivitis, the perimeter of the orbit becomes red and swollen, often partially or completely closing the eyelids. An exudate often accompanies this, resulting in crusty material around the orbit and sometimes sealing the eyelids closed. True eye infections, where the eye itself is experiencing an inflammatory event, will look different. The sclera (white part of the eye) often becomes injected, meaning the blood vessels enlarge and are more prominent, looking something like a red roap map over the white of the eye. The pupil may be dilated or constricted, depending upon the exact location of the infection, and the cornea is often cloudy or red.
Depends. If you like a hamster you like it. If you like a gerbil you like it. Everyone has a different opinon
It means that the gerbil felt like biting you
A baby Gerbil
10 week old gerbil
You can get a gerbil at usually any pet shop, like, Petsmart, Petco, etc..
If you want a gerbil, get a Meepit. Meepit = pink gerbil. They're petpets, sure, but it's the closest you'll come.
yes
Like if you intruduce a baby gerbil to a female and a male gerbil they might be nice to him but the male gerbil might play fight or fight in the cage i do not think if you leave the baby gerbil in the same cage with the male gerbil or a female gerbil the female gerbil migt fight or play fight with the baby gerbil if u do please be real care full because if the male gerbil no that the babby gerbil if its a baby girl gerbil yhey will mate or if u do the same with the adult female gerbil they mate to with a baby boy gerbil or adult gerbil will mate to and also mate means that the female gerbil have babbies with the male gerbils .
well, usually if you pick the gerbil up, you can feel in its stomach things that feel like small potatoes. the gerbil will obviously be larger.
Self Defence in the wild = When a predator got the gerbil the gerbil losses hair on tail and if needed the tail pops of so the predator will eat the tail and the gerbil will get a chance to run away ,its like with a leopard gecko
