Are you wanting to reconfigure it to work this way, or does it currently work in this manner?

To reconfigure it, it will take quite a bit of rewiring, depending on whether the rooms are adjacent or not.

The wiring method is not terribly difficult. Getting the wires to and from the switch can be cumbersome though.

How do you detect a bad dimmer switch?

You can detect a bad dimmer switch by checking for flickering or flashing lights, overheating of the switch, buzzing or humming noises when the switch is in use, or if the lights don't respond consistently to the dimming adjustments. If you notice any of these signs, it may be time to replace the dimmer switch.

If your dimmer switch goes out will it make your lights not work?

If a dimmer switch goes out, it may cause the lights to not work at all or to stay at a single brightness level. This can be due to a faulty switch or wiring connection. It is important to check the switch and wiring to determine the cause of the issue and resolve it accordingly.

How do you turn the dome lights the lights underneath the dash when they don't go off after getting out of the car?

If the dome lights or lights under the dash don't turn off after exiting the car, you can try closing all doors properly and ensuring the parking brake is engaged. If they still do not turn off, there may be a faulty door switch or wiring issue that needs to be addressed by a mechanic. You can also try manually turning off the lights using the light switch if applicable.

What causes the brake lights not to work on a Chevy Corsica 1988 and the turn signals not to work also?

u need to replace flasher can in your vehicle This could happen if flasher had hazzard flasher "on" and could be broken so it will not turn off. (I assume center brake light still works) if so, need new flasher switch in steering colum or find a way to rewire brake lights from brake light switch to rear lights. This is just a guess. Be sure brake light switch is OK.

Why do the lights stay on when the switch is off?
