All propane cylinders will have a TW stamped in the valve protection ring. The tare weight or TW is the weight of the cylinder empty. TW 18 would be a 18 pound empty cylinder. If you weigh a TW 18 cylinder on a bathroom scale, and it weighs 28 pounds there would be 10 pounds of propane remaining in the cylinder.

The amount of propane an outdoor lamp uses can vary depending on factors such as the size and output of the lamp, how long it is used each day, and the intensity of the flame. On average, a typical outdoor lamp with a standard propane tank can burn for about 10-12 hours on a one-pound propane cylinder.
It told them that the atom was mostly empty space.
You know when your propane tank is empty when no more gas comes out of it but at some stores you can get that tank refilled. *** An easy and cheap fix to your problem of wondering how much gas is in your tank is at propanegasminder site. I was having the same problem as you trying to figure out how much gas I had left. I found this website and figured i'd give it a try and I ordered this product. All you do is lift the tank and set it on the device. If the red shows your tank is low. Simple as that. I keep mine under my tank all the time. I love it and have been passing the word about it ever since. It is definitely a life saver and it's only 6.90 with shipping. It was so worth it. Hope this helps. You can also buy gauges that go between your regulator and your tank that show the gas level. Without one of these tools, you're left with the first answer. It just stops putting out gas.

You cannot use output pressure to tell how full a tank is. The pressure will remain constant until it's just about out of propane. You can use weight, if you know how much it weighs when empty, and when full - then it's just simple math.
I dont think that you can tell the diffence besides in their personalities...
The age of a 7 Up bottle could be determined by a professional. If the bottle is assumed to be an antique, an antique retailer should be able to give information about the bottle.
