Hydrogen Peroxide is a sterilant mostly used in laboratories and other similar places where high standards of hygiene are required!!
Recently Pioneers of green house cultivation have started promulgating the use of Peroxide or better Silver Based hydrogen Peroxide as Soil Sterilant.
It provides good control on Soil Borne Fungus and to some extent some weak, Less established weeds, But Its Effect on Nematodes is less Known,
There is definitely a visual plant health difference in crop grown in sterilized beds and unsterilized beds,
Here is How you can Use Silver Based Peroxide or Even Peroxide:
1. Wet the beds with neutral pH water up-to 75% Water Holding Capacity of Soil.
2. In irrigation water mix @ 35 ml Silver based peroxide/peroxide in 1 litre of water.
3. Do not mix any chemical with this, as this solution is highly reactive.
4.Apply @ 1litre/ m2.
5 Leave the field undisturbed for 1 day.
Field is sterilized , make sure you use disease free seedling for planting as the efficacy of of fumigant vanishes after application and it will no more be effective,
Hope you find this useful..
No.Hydrogen gas is not a green house gas. Hydrogen chemically combined with oxygen becomes a green house gas. Water vapor is the most common green house gas making up about 75% of all warming.
When hydrogen peroxide comes into contact with yeast, a reaction occurs that releases oxygen gas. Adding dishwashing liquid can help trap the oxygen gas in bubbles, creating a foamy reaction. This is often used in classroom demonstrations to show how yeast can catalyze the decomposition of hydrogen peroxide.
my question is what is green bench? and how it is related to green house effect in atmoshphere?
Green house gases, such as carbon dioxide.
It means a house where you keep plants and trees and it keeps them healty
gasoline and hydrogen peroxide, but don't try it. you really need industrial 30% peroxide, not household 3%.
between 12 to 30 hours after fumigation and the house have to be clean of poison
You can buy hydrogen peroxide from most drugstores, pharmacies, or online retailers. Look for it in the first aid section or ask a pharmacist for help locating it. Make sure to choose the correct concentration for your intended use.
Thought I was doing some all natural cleaning mixture. Read about using orange peels, vinegar, hydrogen peroxide, etc. Got confused and mixed hydrogen peroxide and grapefruit peels in a sealed jar. Lid swoll up and finally got open. Don't think I will be using to clean anything in my house! Thought I read somewhere that it makes the equivalent of a very strong bleach for cleaning tough stains.
Mountain Dew and some household chemicals (hydrogen peroxide) can make a glow stick. no
Hydrogen peroxide purchased from a store or science supply house has been stabilized so that expected loss due to spontaneous decomposition into oxygen and water is less than 3% per year. Without adding a catalyst, you will have to wait a very long time to collect the oxygen from a sample of hydrogen peroxide.

Everyone should have some basic first aid items in their house including hydrogen peroxide, acohol wipes, medicated antibacterial cream, bandaids, gauze and medical tape. When making a kit for you car you should have the same items, except the hydrogen peroxide.

Termite Fumigation is a process which is essential to keep the house clean and the termites under check. This happens a lot in wood houses. Once termites enter your house, it is very difficult to get rid of them. It is best to get it done periodically. The chemicals used in this kind of pest control are quite strong and hence it is best to get professional help.
