How does Santa know where everyone lives?

Today, cars and trucks come equipped with GPS. GPS tells moms and dads how to get to stores, etc.

But long, long ago when Santa first set up his workshop at the North Pole, there was no GPS. But Santa did not need it, because Santa's work is like the snowflakes that come and cover your yard and house. Each snowflake knows exactly where everyone's house is in every town. (In towns that don't get much snow, it is from teeny tiny dust particles that float in the air just like snowflakes. When Santa loads his sled, Rudolph with his bright red nose makes light shine on the snowflakes (or dust flakes). Rudolph follows them as they float down to the ground.

But Rudolph's nose is extra special ! Every snowflake remembers 1 person's name at each house. So if 4 children and 2 parents are in one house, that means Rudolph must light those 6 snowflakes when the sleigh gets near the right house. Snowflakes are wondrous things--- they dance and float up, then down, and zigzag this way and that... until Rudolph gets to the right house. Then, as the snowflakes fall on Santa's head, the snowflakes tell Santa: This is where Sally and Bobby and little baby Johnny live. Santa hears them, and grabs his sack of presents.

Without Rudolph and snow or dust flakes, Santa could never do such a wonderful job on Christmas Eve. Oh-- and the really big, big snow/dust flakes, they get to tell Santa one adult's name. That's how your mom and dad get their presents from Santa, just like Santa gives presents to you.
