The water in the mixture is what dose most of the cooling. when the engine gets hot the heat transfers to cooler object around it such as the air surrounding the engine and the coolant flowing threw the engine. After the coolant gets hot the water pump pushes the coolant threw the radiator. once the coolant gets to the radiator air flows threw the fins of the radiator and it cools the coolant inside. the antifreeze chemically raises the boiling point of the water so it can absorb heat at temperatures higher than boiling point. the coolants also lowers the freezing point so that the water dose not freeze in the winter. Some coolants have corrosion protectors. it all depends on what the car manufacturer wants in there cars.

I know you didn't ask for this much detail but i hope it was helpful!

What is the difference between a solution and a suspension?

solution is transparent whereas suspension is not transparent. particles in solution are of size less than 100nm.but particles of suspension are of size more than 1000nm.solution is homogeneous mixture whereas suspension is heterogeneous mixture. solution doesn't exhibit Tyndall effect or brownian movement.but suspension exhibits it....

Will solid aluminium absorb more heat than water?

With water been about to absorb heat water is a major plus for industries. It can go in your cars radiator for cooling the heat of the water also helps regulate the air changing temperature.

Will an object will be a net radiator of energy when its thermal energy is less than that of its surroundings?

No, an object will not be a net radiator of energy when its thermal energy is less than that of its surroundings. In this case, the object will instead absorb thermal energy from its surroundings in an attempt to reach thermal equilibrium.

Which physical charateristic of a solution may indicate the presence of a transition element?

The color of a solution can indicate the presence of a transition element. Transition metals often exhibit vibrant colors in solution due to the presence of d-orbitals that can absorb and emit light in the visible range.

What happen if dry apricots left for some time in pure water and later transferred to sugar solution?

If dried apricots are left in pure water, they will rehydrate and absorb the water, becoming plump and juicy. When transferred to a sugar solution, the apricots will continue to absorb the sweet liquid, adding a sweet flavor to the fruit while maintaining its plump texture.

What do you check when your car engine gets hot?

Check your antifreeze level in the radiator first. There is usually a water pump behind the fan which pumps antifreeze/water as the engine turns, through little water jackets around the engine. This antifreeze/water solution absorbs the heat and is sent to the radiator to cool down before returning to the engine to absorb more heat and repeat the process. This process is regulated by a thermostat in the engine which allows the antifreeze/water to return to the radiator for cooling once a certain temperature is reached. It then makes sense that if the following conditions exist the engine will overheat. 1. Antifreeze/water level low 2. Thermostat not working preventing antifreeze/water from returning to radiator to cool down. 3. Fan belt or electric fan is is broken not allowing the fan to cool the radiator coil which in turn cools the Antifreeze/water. 4. an air lock exists in the system preventing thermostat from opening. To remove an air lock run the engine with the radiator cap off for 20 minutes ensuring that you keep the level of antifreeze/water high. Even when you think all the air is out which you will see bubbling leave it the full twenty minutes. **Never remove the radiator cap unless the engine is cold or running. Removing the radiator cap from a hot engine after turning it off can result in extremely hot liquid spraying out.**

What will absorb antifreeze?

Absorb-all. Looks like kitty litter. Sold at auto parts stores.

Why do you have black water in your car radiator?

to absorb heat

Does modelling clay absorb water?

Yes it will. Usually it is a mixture of organic ingredients and anything organic will absorb water.

How do you spell dissolves?

The correct spelling is "dissolve" (to go into solution, or to absorb into solution).

What solution is absorbs hydrogen sulphide?

Cadmium sulfate solution will absorb H2S, forming CdS.

Does a mixture of colors absorb heat?

Yes, a mixture of colors can affect how much heat is absorbed. Darker colors tend to absorb more heat than lighter colors because they absorb more light energy. The specific colors and their proportions in the mixture will determine how much heat is absorbed overall.

Does constituents absorb or release heat upon mixing?

Constituents can absorb or release heat upon mixing, depending on the specific reaction or process involved. For example, an endothermic reaction will absorb heat and cool down the mixture, while an exothermic reaction will release heat and increase the temperature of the mixture.

By looking at a solution could you tell if it could absorb uv strongly?

YES

Why will be change in the potato cube in concentrated sugar solution and distilled water respectively after an hour?

In the concentrated sugar solution, water will move out of the potato cube, causing it to shrink due to osmosis. In distilled water, water will move into the potato cube, causing it to swell due to osmosis.

If a solution reflects white light does it absorb all wavelengths?

No, a solution that reflects white light does not absorb all wavelengths. Instead, it reflects most of the wavelengths within the visible spectrum which combine to form white light.

What can be the problem you put an electric fan in your 91 Dakota after you tried all the suggested solution for VIBE at about 65mph and smooth out some at 75 mph but it is still there so it can't be?

I am not sure what all you have done so far, but have you tried using rubber around the radiator ao absorb some of the vibration? If not, try a strip acoss the bottom of the rad and on the top under the radiator bracket at the top.
