it is puny like earth compared to jupiter
Valles Marineris is the Martian canyon that is ten times longer and four times deeper than the Grand Canyon on Earth. It is the largest canyon system in the solar system.
The Grand Canyon is not even close to the size of Valles Marinaris. Grand Canyon length 446 km Valles Marinaris length 4000 km Grand Canyon maximum width 29 km Valles Marinaris maximum width 200 km Grand Canyon maximum depth 1.83 km Valles Marinaris maximum depth 7 km
Yes. Mars has gigantic valleys. The greatest is the Valles Marineris, which makes the Grand Canyon look tiny.See related link for more information
Presently the largest canyon system discovered so far is on Mars and is called Valles Marineris, it extends over 3,000 kilometers long, spans as much as 600 kilometers across, and delves as much as 8 kilometers deep
Mars is known for its reddish appearance due to iron oxide on its surface, earning it the nickname "Red Planet." It has a thin atmosphere composed mostly of carbon dioxide, which contributes to its cold temperatures, averaging around -80 degrees Fahrenheit. Mars features the largest volcano in the solar system, Olympus Mons, and a vast canyon system, Valles Marineris, which dwarfs the Grand Canyon. Additionally, evidence of past water flow suggests that Mars once had conditions suitable for life.
No, Vales Marineris is much bigger than the Grand Canyon.

The biggest canyon on Mars, Valles Marineris, is much larger than the Grand Canyon on Earth. Valles Marineris stretches over 2,500 miles in length, up to 7 miles in depth, and reaches widths of up to 120 miles. In contrast, the Grand Canyon is approximately 277 miles long, 18 miles wide, and has a depth of about 1 mile.
Valles Marineris, after the Nasa Mariner space probe that first imaged this huge scar on Mars
The largest canyon in the Solar System cuts a wide swath across the face of Mars. Named Valles Marineris, the grand valley extends over 3,000 kilometers long, spans as much as 600 kilometers across, and delves as much as 8 kilometers deep. Valles Marineris is the largest canyon on Mars, and the largest known canyon in the universe so far.
Mars. Valles Marineris would hold the whole of Earth's Grand Canyon is one of its side canyons. In addition, its largest volcano -- Olympus Mons -- is larger than any volcano on our planet.

Valles Marineris of Mars, has a depth of up to 7 km and a length of 4,000 km. This is equivalent to the length of Europe. The Grand Canyon by comparison, has a depth of 1.6 km and a length of 433 km.
The Mariner Valley is lso known as Valles Marineris and is actually on Mars, so our solar system. Here are some facts from my astronomy class: "Valles Marineris runs for almost 4000 km along the Martian equator, about one-fifth of the way around the planet. At its widest, it is some 120 km across, and it is as deep as 7 km in places. Like many Martian surface features, it simply dwarfs Earthly competition. The Grand Canyon in Arizona would easily fit into one of its side "tributary" cracks. Valles Marineris is so large that it can even be seen from Earth" ProJewGreekChristian
depends on how close you are when looking at it Funny! Seriously, the name itself, Copper Canyon, is deceptive. It leads one to believe that it is a 'single' canyon, when it is not. Copper Canyon consists of six (6) different canyons. The Grand Canyon is a 'single' canyon, therefore the two cannot be compared. For those who vehemently believe that Copper Canyon is larger, that is like saying the the Great Lakes should be considered an ocean or a sea because they intersect. Geographical descriptions do not work that way. Copper Canyon is unique, but it is not bigger than the Grand Canyon.
