Generally speaking, weather can have an effect on food grown on farms. A frost in Florida may kill orange trees and drive up the price of Oranges and Orange Juice. Any time severe weather hits a farm area, such as hurricanes, extreme heat waves, or lack of rain, food production is reduced and the effects drive up costs.
