Airborne dust surveys in opencast mines are typically conducted by placing dust samplers at strategic locations around the mine site to collect airborne particles. These samplers are then analyzed to determine the concentration and composition of the dust particles present in the air. This data is used to assess the effectiveness of dust control measures and to ensure that exposure levels are within acceptable limits for worker safety and environmental regulations.

Do bedroom air conditioners pollute indoor air?

This is A QUESTION often asked on my house visits, and I affirmedly say, YES!. Bedroom air conditioners ( and conventional air purifiers) are bedroom air polluters. Almost always bedrooms are closed up "boxes" with the four walls, roof and the floor. Windows hardly get opened, and the same air gets circulated by the air conditioners ( and air purifiers). WHAT HAPPENS? Within the encased airconditoner is a removal "filter" like trappings that traps air borne dust and pariculates. This accumulation of dust and air borne particulates are breeding grounds for bacteria and micro organisms. The moisture helps. Also air borne are dust mites, its droppings and the dead skin cells from our bodies. When an air conditioner is not in use, all of these trappings dry and become floatable again. When an air conditioner is switched on, all of these floatables get air borne and into circulation within the bedrooms. We end a night, evry night in our own bedrooms, breathing, dust, pollutes and allergens. We spend 6 to 10 hours daily within the bedroom. What circuates is what we breathe. Bedroom air pollution is at its worst and so have been labelled as BAD ROOMS.

What is the difference between birth and born?

Born means having been given birth or creation by someone. Borne means carried or assumed by someone or something. So a baby is born, and dust is borne (carried) by the wind. This connection stems from the fact that women "bear" (carry) their young before giving birth.---The word born is a past participle of the verb "to bear" meaning "to give birth" or "to create" e.g. "I was born in Kentucky" or "Invention is often born of necessity." Note that the form used here is passive: you are the one somebody else -your mother- "bore" (carried), so you were born. The active form uses an E , e.g. "She had borne a son the previous year" or "Our efforts had borne some success."This is because the word borne is the past participle of the verb "to bear" meaning "to carry", e.g, "The king was borne across the stream on a litter." (The king was the object receiving the bearing). Or "The truck driver has borne responsibility for the crash."(see the related link below)
