The cosmic background radiation is considered by science to be elegant proof of a model of the universe which was once dense and hot and filled with a uniform glow. Expansion of the universe would cause the wavelength of this light to increase (in other words, the energy of the photons to decrease) to the level seen today, which peaks in the microwave region of the spectrum. The fact that this detectable "afterglow" does not have a specific source and seems fairly uniform in all directions also supports this model. Since these observations seem consistent with the Big Bang, this tends to support its position as the leading scientific theory of the origin of the universe.

How ia cosmic background radiation related to the big bang theory?

The cosmic background radiation is believed to be the remains of the radiation emitted by the Universe when it started to get transparent - when it had cooled down to a temperature of about 3000 kelvin.

What is an observable remnant of the big bang?

well one thing that we can observe from the big bang is its cosmic background radiation

One of the observable remnants of the Big Bang is?

cosmic background radiation :) This phenomenon can be picked up by an ordinary radio or tv. If your radio is not tuned into a station, then some of the the noise (interference) you hear is the cosmic background radiation caused by the Big Bang.
