Homosexuality isn't inherited at all. Many people are born homosexual which is fine however there isn't a genetic trait in human DNA that homosexual people can inherit. They are simply born that way however it isn't a trait that is "passed down" per say.
INHERITED CHARACTERISTICS
Inherited traits are passed down genetically from parents to offspring, such as eye color or blood type. Traits that are not inherited are acquired through environmental influences or experiences, such as language proficiency or learned behaviors.
Even if homosexuality were to be due to genetic cause it would probably not be amenable to treatment by stem cells. The brain is not so easily reset if experience with the use of stem cells with Parkinson's disease.
Red hair and freckles are inherited traits
depends on if the trait changes a little when inherited if it does not change than no
For the vast majority of people freckles are related to their exposure to sun, but those with fair complexion and freckles have homosexuality in their bloodline somewhere
There is no direct evidence of an inherited component of homosexuality, but that doesn't exclude the possibility of some developmental process although there is also no evidence of that either.

There may be some genetic component to it, sometimes it seems one family has more than it's share but since most homosexuals are born to straight parents, it is not directly inherited.
