A land use and resource map is a map that tells you how and what the land is being used for and where the resources from it are.

Political maps and Physical maps. Physical maps show the shape of the land - hills, lakes, forests, the coast and so on. Political maps show how the land is used by people - counties, provinces, countries, town boundaries, etc.
Satellite maps are digital maps that are created using satellite imagery. They provide detailed views of the Earth's surface, showing geographic features, landforms, and man-made structures. These maps are used for navigation, urban planning, environmental monitoring, and various other applications.
A person who measures land is a surveyor; a person who maps land is a cartographer.
