As you may or may not know, sedimentary rock is formed by weathering, erosions, and tiny rock particles gathering, so on and so forth. So, as the rock had been forming, the fossil may have formed because any old organism may have stepped in it during formation. Probably, the organism may have stepped in a mud puddle and left a footprint. As the mud were to grow older and older, it would dry out and harden as dirt begins to pile on it. After 100's or maybe 1000's of years later, a sedimentary rock would form with the fossil inside it. If you need any further help, please e-mail me @ Yhomelessman@aim.com
Sedimentary rocks. and metamorphic rocks made form sedimentary rocks.
Sedimentary rocks made from fragments of rocks, minerals, and shells are known as clastic sedimentary rocks. Examples include sandstone, shale, and conglomerate. These rocks form when pre-existing rocks are weathered, eroded, transported, and deposited in layers.
No Igneous rocks!
