The moon is a quarter of a million miles away. A typical avocado is about four inches long, more or less. So it's about 3 avocadoes per foot. And 5,280 feet per mile. So: 3 x 5,280 = 15,840 x 250,000 = 3,960,000,000. So it takes nearly four billion avocadoes to reach the moon if you had some way to line them up end to end (which you don't).
