The gene is dominant so basically if you have it, 50% of your children will inherit it as well which can particularly devastating since the symptoms don't appear until the 30's or 40's. So theoretically you can have children that are teenagers by the time you find out, and 50% of them will become afflicted as well. ERROR, each of your children has a 50% chance of inheriting the gene. ALSO, there is Jhd, where children can get it... usually when HD is inherited from the father... but not always. Children as young as 2 have been known to have it. Sadly I have known too many children to die of Jhd.
