ver 260,000 different species
Approximately 300,000-400,000 different angiosperm species have been discovered and described so far. However, scientists estimate that there may be as many as 250,000 more angiosperm species yet to be identified.
Algae have been present on Earth for millions of years, so they were not "discovered" by one single person. Different species of algae have been observed and recorded by various scientists and researchers over time, contributing to our understanding of their diversity and importance in ecosystems.
The plant chemical discovered in fungus is called "psilocybin," which is found in certain species of mushrooms. Psilocybin is known for its psychoactive properties and has been studied for its potential therapeutic effects, particularly in mental health treatment. Additionally, compounds like ergothioneine and various secondary metabolites have also been identified in fungi, contributing to their ecological roles and potential health benefits.
A plant cell typically contains multiple sets of chromosomes, which can vary depending on the species. Most common plant species are diploid, meaning they have two sets of chromosomes. However, there are also species that are polyploid with more than two sets of chromosomes.
The oldest species of plant still in existence is believed to be the Horsetail plant (Equisetum). Fossil records suggest that this plant has been around for over 300 million years and has remained relatively unchanged throughout its evolutionary history.

The one celled "Euglena"Currently, over 1,000 species of Euglena have been described. There are many to be discovered. Some Euglena are considered to have both plant and animal features.
The remains of about 80 different Stegosaurus have been discovered. They belong to four different species, Stegosaurus armatus, Stegosaurus stenops, Stegosaurus sulcatus, and Stegosaurus longispinus.
It is extremely possible. Not all species have been discovered and named yet. Scientists are continually finding new species, so it is possible that some shark species haven't been found yet.
Over 17,000 species of annelids have been discovered.
Plate movements has lead to dispersion of different organisms over time. Animal and Plant species of different types have been transported and displaced to new environments resulting to introduction of species that did not exist in an area before to become an inhabitant of such place.
Currently, there have been over 500 species of carpenter bees discovered. However, in the future, there may be more species of carpenter bees discovered.
