The answer depends on the resistance to motion that the brakes could impart. This, in turn, would depend on the conditions of the brakes, of the tyres and of the road.
Centimeters. A table is unlikely to be 2 meters tall, but is likely going to be several thousand millimeters, so centimeters gives an accurate number that is not overwhelming.
I think they said something about the satellie taking like a decade or two to reach it and it's going anywhere from 100 to a few thousand miles per hour... So, if you're going top speed, it could be a few decades. Bring extra food.
Mark: December 24, 9 pm. Eastern Standard time. From here on in, I shoot without a script. See if anything comes of it... Instead of my old s***. Should I keep going?
No. There is no comet or asteroid or meteor going to hit the Earth. Most of it is superstition.
Yes, I believe a fine tuned seismograph will do the trick. A seismograph should show some amount of vibration related to Earth's rotation. At nearly one thousand mile per hour in some places, (plus going 66,000 mph around the Sun) it is reasonable that some vibration would be detected.
Depends on what type of tractor and trailer you had in mind. For a farm tractor pulling a trailer, it's usually a pintle on the tractor which is run through a clevice on the trailer. For road going vehicles, the fifth wheel trailers are often used, where a trailer kingpin will be inserted and locked into a fifth wheel on the vehicle. In the case of an 18 wheeler, air lines will connect from the tractor to the trailer to operate the trailer's air brake system.
If you are driving a loaded tractor trailer, you would downshift to gain more power when going up hill and downshift to control speed when going down hill.
When you turn in a tractor trailer (or any vehicle with a trailer), the tyres of that trailer aren't going to take the same course as the tyres on the power unit - they'll go within the turn radius of the power unit. Drivers need to be aware of this, as this can cause the trailer to hit things the power unit would clear, such as curbs, utility poles, etc.
The expected price for a 2012 Dodge Viper is eighty five thousand to ninety five thousand USD.
Which city, exactly? Those are going to be matters of city ordinance, not state law.
Because people try to turn inside the path of the trailer. They don't understand that the trailer is going to follow a different path thru the turn than the tractor. They also don't understand that when a tractor and trailer are in a turn, that the mirrors are absolutely useless to the driver. All he can see in the mirror is the side of the trailer. He cannot see the idiots trying to sneak around him inside the turn.
If you're going for a Class A in order to drive a tractor-trailer, it really is what you need to do. For a Class B, or Class A for combinations which aren't tractor-trailers, lots of companies can give you on-the-job training.
You swing wide, and check your trailer axles to ensure they're not going to run into/over anything they're not supposed to.
Well, you're limited to 20,000 on the single axle. If you have at least a 35 ft. bridge to the trailer tandems, you can gross 34,000 on the trailer tandems (or 40,000 if you have a 10 ft. spread between the axles). As a rule of thumb, 12,000 is going to be your limit on the steers.
How fast would a 2009 pete tractor trailer empty have to be going with ABS working in good order to leave 35 feet of skid marks
Im not going to get into a gooseneck because you should already know how to do that. Now though A semi Trailer I will. 1. Staight tractor with trailer EVENLY 2. Get out of tractor a remove any hazard in path (take key out) 3. Return to tracor begin backing prcess 4. DONT hit the trailer lightly tap it. STOP 5. Exit tractor take key connect serive blue, emergency red, and electrical green. Make sure king pin is dead center with fifth wheel might sound sill make sure king pin is tight not wigling around. 6. Return to tractor press red knob in supplies trailer brakes air. After thats complete pull red knob out exhaust trailer air trailer brakes now locked. 7. SLOWLy back tractor into trailer the trailer will rise a few inches calm your little ass down its fine. the fifth wheel has a locking jaw that when properly working will lock between the head (bottom of fifth wheel and shank (top of fifth wheel. 8. Exit tractor take key service your work there should be NO daylight between the top of the fifth wheel and trailer. Oh yeah and if so grease fifth wheel. Push locking lever over locking jaw. 9. Go under trailer look at the locking jaw is the trailer on the outside of it if so you f'd up. Make sure jaw is completely shut between head and shank if it is great. 10. Just do a check of the trailer make sure its fine. Return to cab press red knob in release trailer brakes press press yellow knob in release tractor brakes. What ever you do after that not my problem.
This question is impossible to answer based on the vagueness of it. Oil tankers are pulled so it would depend on the tractor that is pulling the tanker, how heavy the trailer is, is it full, what size motor the tractor had, what transmission was behind the motor, who is driving the tractor, what is their experience, is it on flat ground, going down hill, or up hill, etc.
