To qualify as a solar system, there would need to be at least one planet orbiting a star. Current estimates in our own Milky Way galaxy average about one planet per star, which would mean about 300 billion solar systems. Recent data hint that about 40 billion of those may have an Earth-like planet orbiting in the habitable zone.

There are also a smaller number of rogue planets not in solar systems, and the first exoplanet discovered in another galaxy has been identified.

How many planet in universe?

We have no way of knowing how many, although we do now know that there are other star systems with planets, or notable "accretion discs" (from which planets will form). It is a very difficult area to explore because planets, even very big planets, are a fraction of the size of the stars they surround, and the stars themselves are difficult enough to see. As far as "how many in the universe?" undoubtedly a large amount, but we have absolutely no idea how many that might be.

Have you found life in the universe?

Seen as earth is a planet in the universe, life does exist within it. Statistics say that because the universe goes on infinitely, many billions of planets will have water on them and the correct atmospheric conditions for life to exist. However, we'll never find this information out in our lifetime, as other planets are many millions of light years away, by which time, global warming may have destroyed our planet etc.

How many planets orbit a star?

The number of planets that orbit a star can vary widely. In our solar system, there are eight planets orbiting the Sun. However, many other stars in the universe have been found to host multiple planets, with some systems containing as many as seven or more. Overall, discoveries from exoplanet research suggest that most stars may have at least one planet orbiting them.

Why is there life on earth but not on anty outher planets?

There is life on other planets. Imagine, there are 1000 planets in the Universe for every grain of sand on the earth. That's how many planets there are, so scientifically, the chance that there must be life on other planets as well is much greater than the chance that there is no life.

How old is the other earth?

There are many planets in the universe, but as far as we know there is only one Earth, therefore I do not know to which "other earth" you are referring.
