There are approximately three thousand people living near the Paricutin volcano. A National Park was established with a visitor center, cabins, campsites, and a restaurant to encourage visitors to view the volcano.
So once upon a time, there was a little tiny seahorse, who was much smaller than all his siblings and seahorse friends. He wished and wished and wished to be a taller seahorse and on his 6th birthday he found a bottle and examined it and out popped a genie. He was so excited, he immediately wished to be a taller than his friends, so he could now look down on them. The genie did not quite understand him, so instead of making him a taller seahorse, he gave the seahorse his own lake on the top of a huge mountain in the middle of where he used to live to make him taller than all his friends. The seahorse was very angry for not having gotten any taller himself and swam furiously around his new lake, so fast and so much, he created bubbles and heated up all the water. The genie also became very upset that the seahorse was so mad, that he decided to try to ruin the mountain he made for him. One of the seahorses friends overheard the genies words and begged him to not ruin the huge mountain so that his friend would live. The genie decided he would destroy as much as he could without hurting the seahorse. So he blew it up, making it very small, but one of the rocks from the eruption ended up falling into the middle of the lake, almost killing the seahorse. So now, whenever the seahorse says its okay, the genie blows up the little mountain, throwing rocks and ash into the air to try to let the seahorse come back down out of his own private lake and play with his friends." courtesy of Shannon sweeney
Very much so. A volcano is the eruption of molten rock as lava.
A composite volcano has high silica because they are known to be explosive.
everywhere, on people on trees on pretty much everything
An active volcano? Sorry I couldn't help much, but this is the most clear answer : \
People do not live in Pompeii today, but they do live in the surrounding area. They live there because it is their home. They live there for the same reasons that people choose to live in cities that have air and noise pollution and high crime rates. However the people of today have a much better chance of escaping if the volcano decides to act up again, as it is carefully monitored 24/7.
I think it is the volcano. I live near Basalt and I am 12 I had been learning about these volcanoes this volcano is old and people don't know when it is going to erupt. This is very strange in Colorado beacause NOT much happens here...
I think it's just because they like where they live and maybe the volcano that is near them doesn't erupt very much so they feel like they're pretty safe. That's the only reason that I can think up. I wouldn't want to live by a volcano that is still active but I guess some people do. Thanks!
not much, the volcano type that does he worst damage is the composite/strato volcano. The composite and strato volcano are the same types just different names.
