The question what is the biggest snake can be confusing, the biggest as far as girth (largest being measured at 44 inches or 1,1176 m) is the Green Anaconda, on average anacondas are more then 20 ft (6.09 m) long with and average weight of 300+ pounds (136.08+ kg) many reaching lengths of 29ft ( 8.83 m) or more, with a weight of over 550 lbs ( 249.48 kg), in terms of length then and only then will the Reticulated Python exceed the anaconda, the longest python was measured at 33 ft ( 10.05 m) but even this python can't match the total mass of the anaconda.

Anacondas are members of the Boidae family of reptiles and spend most of their time in rivers and swamps of the Amazon Rainforest in South America which makes them excellent swimmers and are capable of holding their breath for around 15 minutes, female anacondas are generally 3 to 4 times larger then the males and bear their young live and are called "Neonates", the number of young varies, some have produced 100 babies, but the average is between 20 to 40 babies which are about 24 inches (0.6 m) long, they stay with the mother for about and hour then leave to be on their own. Diet consist of (depending on the size of the anaconda, the larger the snake the larger the prey) large/small rodents like capybaras, also pigs, caiman, jaguars, deer, dogs, birds even fish and is acquired by ambushing with a quick strike, 100 rear-facing sharp teethhold the prey while suffocating it with constriction, (the anaconda is so powerful it generally crushes it's prey) then swallowing it whole and by using it's muscles in a rhythmic fashion it works the food toward its digestive area, the digestion of the anaconda is very slow thereby allowing it to survive without food for well over a year.

Can a anaconda eat a hippo?

Perhaps, if it was a baby hippo. It has probably never happened unless in a bizarre zoo accident seeing as the anaconda is found in South America and the hippopotamus is found in Africa. There is a video circulating on video-sharing sites that features an anaconda disgorge something that looks like a hippo, however, this is a tapir and not a hippo. The largest animal that anacondas are known to tackle are 500 pd. capybaras, so by extension, perhaps a 500 p Of couse a snake could fite a hippo a anaconda could fite the biggest hippo in its mouth d. hippo would be fair game.

What is the largest snake in world?

Answer 1Precise specifics, figures and claims have long been debated, with some saying, "Lo ... here!" and others, "Lo ... there!" but as a general 'ball park':Both the Anaconda and the Reticulated python can grow over 25 feet in length. However, more specifically, if with biggest you mean, 'the longest', it is the Reticulated Python which can grow 30 ft long, or even more. If by "biggest" you mean the heaviest/largest, it is the green anaconda which can weigh 250 kilos.Answer 2The Green Anaconda is the heaviest snake in the world, with the largest reputable find measuring 25 feet long and weighing 500 pounds. Reticulated Pythons can be longer than anacondas but do not have nearly the mass. The largest reputable Reticulated Python was over 33 feet long, but only weighed about 335 pounds. The Reticulated Python is the longest, the Green Anaconda is the heaviest.

Symbiotic Relationship between a pink river Dolphin and acanoda?

Well, honey, a symbiotic relationship between a pink river dolphin and an anaconda is like a twisted love story in the Amazon. The dolphin gets a free spa treatment from the anaconda's skin-exfoliating massages, while the anaconda gets a personal bodyguard that wards off pesky predators. It's a match made in the wild, where beauty and the beast team up for survival.
