There are a number of types of hereditary neuropathy.

Some types are fatal others marginally debilitating.

Many do not begin to affect an individual until later in life and others affect children when they are still fairly young.

A number of the Muscular Dystrophies fall into this category as does, ALS, Shy-Draegers, Charcot-Marietooth.
