neurons barely reproduce, you are born with a lot start loosing them as soon as you are born. the neurone responds to the lose by creating bridges (axon extensions) between each other to take care of the functions the missing neurone left behind... in hair cells they are constantly being push out as they die, which is really fast compare to neurons.... since the skin is the biggest organ in the body and it provides the symbiotic relationships we need with bacteria to survive it needs a lot of cells to be ready to interact and protect the body all the time, making it a need for the skin to have fast cell division
