I think you have to go through a whole big process of boiling it and stuff, but I'm not 100% sure! There are numerous ways to purify water. Boiling is one of them, although Iwouldn't call it "a whole big process." It's actually one of the more simple ways to purify water. Another more simple way to purify water is to make condensation from the existing "non-purified" water that you have available. Place the non-purified water in a container that is big enough to place another empty container within that one, centered. Cover the outer-container with some type of plastic (preferably a Saran/Cling wrap), don't stretch it taught though. You want to have the center of the plastic wrap drooping in the middle so that the condensation drips into the empty container that you placed inside. After 24 hours you should have a decent amount of purified water that has accumulated into the container that was previously empty. Keep in mind that you can't let too much open-air (if any at all) into your containers as the open-air will cause your water to evaporate, so make sure that when it is covered, that it's as air tight as you can make it.
