Geologists monitor several indicators to determine if a volcano is not likely to erupt, including decreased seismic activity, reduced gas emissions, and stable ground deformation. What state are you in? ohio
It all depends on what state you live in. States like Florida that are a No-Fault divorce state wont require any reason for a divorce. Which means they can contest it all they want, but it won't do them any good. You can divorce for any reason as long as one person says it is over. In other states that aren't a No-Fault state you will need a reason for filing for Divorce, such as infidelity, abuse ect.
@#$% him!
I'd get a lawyer as fast as I could.
He's worried about abandonment but not infidelity?? If you're wanting to divorce him, get a lawyer. A judge will grant you a divorce because of his infidelity and will help decide who gets the house.
In Florida you publish a notice in the city newspaper she is know to live in and it might be the same in Oklahoma. Consult the divorce laws with a paralegal who will do it for a small fee. File for divorce based on abadonment.
If the car is titled soley in your name, you might try contacting the police department. Often they will try to help you negotiate its return. If the car is titled in both of your names or the police will not help, you will need to file for divorce or legal separation and ask the court to hold a temporary orders hearing. At a temporary orders hearing you can get an order that he give you the car and the court can award you the car in a judgment of divorce or legal separation. Contact an attorny for specifics about the laws in your state and for help getting the divorce process started. If an attorney is out of the question, your courthouse may have divorce forms to help with the process. If he is just being a pain in the rear, take his set of keys when he is sleeping or watching TV and hide them somewhere good ;)

It is the court - not the wife (or husband) who grants the divorce. In most states, if one spouse files for a divorce, the court will grant the divorce (assuming there are no jurisdictional issues). She may not want a divorce, she may not agree to a divorce, but she cannot prevent you from obtaining a divorce.
