God does exist but he gives us free will (making our own choices), otherwise he wouldn't be a very loving God. Therefore, there would be various religions.
A: 2It is obvious to the rational mind that an absolute and pious divinity will shower raindrops and sprinkle sunlight on all beings equally. A truly pious entity would give all of creation an equal opportunity to enjoy the inalienable right to be born; in a healthy body, in a fulfilling [blessed] home, with perfect intelligence, with reputable social status and with the luxury of a heavenly retirement. A true God will never be afflicted with human weakness and prejudice. A true God would impart knowledge and status to all his creation equally instead of creating fantasies that establishes the dominance of one egocentric group over others. If God was responsible for religion then every minute bit of information contained in those so-called revelations would be absolutely accurate, consistent and able to withstand all challenges and scrutiny. It appears that God gave men free will to create their own set of fantasies which would make them gods on earth. He gave men the free will to use his name in their sinister plot to plunder and enslave others for their personal aggrandizement. If this truly pious entity "God" existed he/she would never have permitted such cruel laws, rules and systems which oppress, persecute and terrorize innocent individuals. A: 3To the vast majority of people living on earth the majority of whom are perfectly rational, intelligent, wise and who have a healthy degree of skepticism, there is still an inbulit and vital need for spiritual things. Very recent research (August 2009) that confirms other research in 2004, suggests strongly that spirituality is inbuilt within our DNA, with those minority who lack the 'spiritual gene' (vmat2) as it has been called, being at a disadvantage over the huge majority of people who do. This is borne out by further research which shows categorically that those who lead spiritual lives, of whatver faith, have happier lives, have more stable families and live longer.
To many religious groups, and especially to Christians, the belief that God created humanity in his image - as a full, perfect humanity - is backed up by the innate necessity for spirituality as demonstrated in the research. The problem, of course, with religious belief is that the very people who believe are humans, with all human failings, and have free will. Humanity has the free will to 'plunder and enslave others' as the above answer correctly states, but also the free will to conduct great good. Sadly, the news is always full of bad news because, as humans, that, sadly, is what we relish and revel in. However. for every bad deed in the world, there are a hundred good ones as any visit to a hospital, a hospice, a church outreach station in a poverty-stricken inner city, or a thousand and one other situations will confirm. Christians believe that free will is a gift given from God as a result of his love. For if God was a God that only allowed good things where everyone did exactly as God dictated, would not be a loving God but a God out to create a humanity of automatons. Who is the better manager? a manager that manages his workforce to ensure that the best possible is achieved with the people he has, or a manager that sacks the workforce and employs a load of yes-men? God gave us free will to do as we please. If we choose to go the way of evil that is our loss, and Christians believe that ultimately we will all have to answer to God as judge one day.
This free will is extended, of course, to what we believe. We can either believe and trust in God - in whatever way we choose - or reject him. The questioner suggests that God doesn't exist, despite the overwhelming evidence in the physical laws, in creation and in peoples' lives past and present, that he does. So it seems that the questioner has rejected him. That is the questioner's right as he/she has free will. But the essence is this - that free will is a gift of God - strongly suggests that God's gift necessitates differing ways of worshipping (ie 'worth-shipping' - giving God his due worth) him too. Therefore, for the majority of people in the world - those of the Christian, Islamic and Jewish faiths - and a whole lot more people whose religion does not preclude the belief in a God, we should be celebrating our common beliefs, our common humanity, and our common love of God and our fellow humans. Thank God we have the free will to do this of our own accord. Thank God too that we can try to persuade to lay down their arms those who fight between themselves in the name of 'religion', or who pour scorn on the God who created them because they have used their free will incorrectly, and to suggest to them that they should perhaps look to themselves to blame for the problems in the world, rather than God.
If only females existed on Earth, then there would not have been an possibility of generations as a woman alone cannot give birth. This is a highly speculative question. If only females existed on Earth, it could be that the human race would die out in one generation, or it could be that there would be advances in the field of human cloning, and the human race would perpetuate itself by means of asexual reproduction. Even then, I would expect the global population to decline. There would be a tremendous number of other consequences, as well. For one thing, since women would no longer have any reason to make themselves appealing to men (who would not exist) the whole concept of fashion would be likely to change.
If the solid state had not existed, the universe would be drastically different, primarily because solid materials are fundamental to the structure of matter. Without solids, all substances would exist only as liquids or gases, leading to a lack of stable forms for life and technology. This would hinder the development of complex biological organisms, as well as inhibit the creation of tools, infrastructure, and industries that rely on solid materials. Ultimately, the absence of the solid state would severely limit the evolution of civilization and the diversity of life as we know it.
In many mythologies, the earth was created by various gods or divine beings. For example, in Greek mythology, Gaia is considered the personification of the Earth and is often credited with being the creator of the planet. In other cultures, different deities are attributed with the creation of the earth.
Nitrogen-15 would have 8 neutrons, while nitrogen-9 (if it existed) would only have 2.
The scientist who first proposed that electrons existed in only certain energy levels around the nucleus was Niels Bohr. His model of the atom, known as the Bohr model, introduced the concept of quantized energy levels and provided a framework for understanding the behavior of electrons in atoms.
Monotheism did not become a religion. It is a type of religion. It is a religion which has only one god, as opposed to polytheism, which is a religion with many gods. There are various theories about the emergence of monotheist religions, but they are just that, theories.
a balance of power
No has discovered Atlantis. We only know of of Atlantis because of myths and various ancient writers who said it existed.
I would say his religion is BASS !!!!!!!!!!!!!! because its the only thing you need in life
I think that the colonists would have agreed because it is true.
The main religion was Christianity!!!!!! That was the only religion, if you weren't Christian, you were unnormal and you would be forced to go to church.

I believe you're asking about Pallas Athena, who was a greek mythological figure. In which case, pallas only "lived", (or existed) if your religion entails worshipping ancient Greek gods.
Schools have existed since ancient times. The exact date of the opening of the very first school is unknown, but it would have been in the "B.C." times. In the earliest schools, only wealthy people were able to attend school, or else the school was held as a part of a religion and could only be attended by those who participated in the temple, synagogue, or church of that religion, and in many cases, only boys. See the Related Link for more on the subject.
They are the same thing, just a different label. I suppose the only real difference is that mythology can be about anything, just a belief that it existed without any proof. Religion is that but you worship or revere the object or person. Still without any proof of existence.
It would be much cleaner for one thing. There would be only natural air pollution, from volcanoes, impacts, etc.
Sodom and Gomorrah is the first mention of homosexuality in the Bible, but it is likely that it existed before then. Many Christians would object to the idea that it has existed for "millions of years", since many Christians believe that the earth has existed for only about 6,000 to 10,000 years.
