Yes, spitting on someone can constitute assault and/or battery. If the victim catches any kind of virus through your spit, the crimes may be aggravated.
The other name for saliva is spit or drool.
A spit is a landform that projects into the ocean. It is like a small peninsula

Jail inmates may make alcohol, also known as "pruno" or "prison wine," using ingredients like fruit, sugar, and bread to ferment in a container. This process is typically done in secret and is illegal in correctional facilities.
A spit with a sharp bend in the ocean is commonly referred to as a "hooked spit." This geographical feature forms when sediment is deposited by longshore drift, creating a protrusion that curves at the end due to the influence of prevailing currents and wave action. The bend typically directs the spit inward toward the land or into a bay.
You can file assault charges in any state.
it could be considered simple assault which is a class 6 misdemeanor or higher depending on if it was intentional.
I believe that in most places, spitting in someones face is considered assault, which is very illegal, yes.
head play jail awsome spit
The answer would be no. If the person spit blood into your mouth and you had a sore then YES. Spit will not give you HIV.
dont go to jail over this but i would knock their teeth out, you should call the police right now
it depends, if you have a clean record and spit in someone's face you might either do community service, jail time, anger management. BUT if you spit on police officers, security guard, or any other it will be far more serious than spitting on your neighbor or who everAnother View: DISAGREE with the above answer. In most (all?) jurisdictions it is considered the crime of assault to spit on another person - especially in this day of communicable diseases capable of being spread by bodily fluids. What the court MIGHT do bears no resemblance of how the law is actually written.
It is assault. You can also be sued (in Civil Court) for unlimited funds if you give the person you spit on ANY reason to suspect you may have a communicable disease, since that may put them "in fear for their life". You should also be aware that if someone genuinely DOES "fear for their life" as a consequence of being spat upon, in most communities they can KILL you and not be found guilty of murder! It's also just plain gross and disrespectful.
I just read an article that states a man received 50 hours community service and 2 years probation for spitting on someone the mans convition came under 18 U.S.C. section 113(a)(5) I looked it up because someone spit in my sons face and I knew it had to be assult of some sort because spit is a bodily fluid that could possible contain blood in it and with blood comes all sorts of things so I Hope this helps
Seriously? If you have to ask, I would have a hard time understanding why exactly. I mean when you spit in another's face it is the ultimate insult and an physical assault on one's person. It is a complete and utter lack of respect. It's a frail display of superiority but grossly offensive. When you spit into someone's face it's like saying that person is s**t without throwing a punch. It is also a show of weakness. Especially when someone does it an walks away. It is EXTREMELY disrespectful and looked on as 'assault' in most countries including the US.
yes in the middle ages you could spit out food and give it to someone else
