It has never snowed in Bogota in recorded history, but it does hail a lot about one to three days each year. People confuse this with snow.

However, there are reports of real snow at the airport in the mid 1950's and in the city in 1918, but these are NOT confirmed (it was probably fine hail or trace amounts of snow). That's all the info I could come up with.

I have lived in Bogotá for 42 years and I have NEVER seen snow, not even a trace.

Hail, yes. Frost, yes. Even ice. But snow, NEVER. And I know snow very well because I have seen it in the USA quite a few times in the past.
