Depends where you are. But most places (in the Northern Hemisphere) see their coldest temperatures of year, on average, during the month of January. So in some of the more temperate regions, January would be the best time to find snow if it were to snow at all.
Snow is rare in Leesville, Louisiana, as it is located in the southern United States where temperatures are usually too warm for snow to occur. On average, Leesville receives very little snow each year, and when it does snow, it is typically light and does not accumulate significantly.

Two regions where snow accumulates year after year are the Arctic region and the Antarctic region. These areas experience extremely cold temperatures, leading to the formation of snow that accumulates over time. Snow in these regions plays a crucial role in maintaining their unique ecosystems and climate patterns.
The snow will begin to accumulate once the ground freezes.
The higher you go in elevation, such as the mountains, the colder it is. This is due to the inverse relationship between temperature and pressure. Pressure decreases as you go up in the atmosphere, therefore the temperature decreases as well. This means that not only can it be below freezing in the mountains when it is quite warm below, allowing that snow to remain, but the length of the snow season is considerably longer in the mountains. It is cold enough to snow for a much larger part of the year, allowing snow to fall and accumulate for a long time. In many mountainous regions, by the time the snow begins to melt, there are many feet of it.
Glaciers form in polar regions, high mountain ranges, and occasionally in temperate regions where snowfall exceeds melting. They require cold temperatures that allow snow to accumulate and compress into ice over time.
Snow erosion refers to the process where wind blows snow from one place to another, causing it to accumulate in one spot and be eroded from another. This can lead to changes in the landscape, such as the formation of snowdrifts or the exposing of bare ground. Snow erosion is common in regions with cold climates and strong winds.
If you mean 2011, then possibly. Last year and the year before, we had snow. In December 2009, we had the earliest snowfall that Houston has seen in a couple of Centuries. In Late January/Early February of 2010, we also had snow. In 2008, it also snowed. This year, though, there is the possibility for snow to accumulate up to 4 inches.
