If you mean that 2012 cannot exist, then you are obviously wrong, the year 2012 is present whilst I am answering this.

If you, on the other hand, mean is the world ending in 2012, no, it's not. There are no good reasons for it to end. Scientists haven't proved anything to make it happen, the myth only started because the a particular Mayan calendar called the baktunends on December 21st 2012, so people began believing this would be the end of the world.

To say the world would end on December 21st 2012 doesn't make any more logical sense than thinking that the world should end on December 31st every year, when the "regular" calendar runs out and we start a new one with January 1.

The Mayans themselves don't seem to have thought the world would end when the (current) baktun ran out; there are inscriptions of theirs stating that the thus-and-so anniversary of particular events would be celebrated on dates considerably further in the future than 2012. I recall one in particular that mentions a date that works out to something like the year 4500.
