hydroelectric is not a type of tidal power. the speed of the water going down the tube starts a giant elastic band revolving. this then causes magnetism and starts a motor. so even though it is to do with water it is not the tide that is causing it but the water running down a hill in a tube. they both rely on water

What type of resources can tidal energy be put?

Tidal power, also called tidal energy, is a form of hydropower that converts the energy of tides into useful forms of power, mainly electricity. Tidal energy is a renewable energy source.

What forms of energy can water be made into?

Water can be converted into various forms of energy, including hydropower, thermal energy from heating water, and potential energy through elevation changes in hydroelectricity. It can also be used to generate kinetic energy in the form of wave or tidal power.

10 renewable resources?

They include: Tidal Power, Wave Power, Solar Power, Wind Power, Hydroelectricity, Radiant Energy, Geothermal Power, Biomass, Compressed Natural Gas and Nuclear Power. There are many sources of energy that are renewable and considered to be environmentally friendly and harness natural processes.

How is most of the hydroelectric power in this country generated?

Most hydroelectricity is generated from large dams built across large rivers. A smaller amount comes from turbines in rivers, bays and swift-moving tidal races.

Where is tidal power in the world?

France has the biggest tidal power plant on the face of the earth, unfortunately the only tidal plant in Europe. Tidal power uses energy in ocean movement (waves) to generate electricity. Tidal power, sometimes called tidal energy, is a form of hydropower that converts the energy of tides into electricity or other useful forms of power. Although not yet widely used, tidal power has potential for future electricity generation. Tides are more predictable than wind energy and solar power. Historically, tide mills have been used, both in Europe and on the Atlantic coast of North America.

What are facts for power?

How does Hydroelectricity save power?

What runs on hydroelectricity?

Hydroelectricity is just the same as any electricity, which runs heating, lighting, power and transport. It is called hydroelectricity because it is produced by falling water.
