no it eventually burned up and reentered not long after Odyssey reentered
what does lm7 mean
Champion
No, that would be 4.0 bore. Not enough material for that. It will go to 5.7 liters though
No, the LS2 is an all aluminum 6.0 liter engine. The 5.3L engine in the 2000 Silverado is an LM7 version of the Vortec 5300.
Two 5.3 liter engines (LM7 or L59, the latter being a flex fuel engine) and one 8.1 liter engine
I've never heard of a 4.8 liter V8 Chevy engine. But assuming it is a V8 Chevy engine, its heavy. How about giving a real answer here, the 4.8L and 5.3L engines weigh about 520lbs, this is the engine weight as pulled, intake, flexplate, harness, accessories, and all (but not the PS pump or AC compressor), from the average 99-02 pickup/Tahoe/Suburban. Source, pulling engines myself and weighing them before shipping them to people, and the heaviest one I pulled was a 5.3L flex fuel motor and I left the PS pump and AC compressor on and it came to 580lbs with the ECU taped to the fuel rail (since I was shipping that with it). Alternatively, if you buy the LS327 long block (or an LR4, LM7, or whatever 4.8L or 5.3L Goodwrench replacement engine) from a GM dealer, it weighs 433lbs but this is with no intake, flywheel, accessories, injectors, or anything like that. Crate adds 30lbs to the assembly so a shipping weight for the LS327 long block is 463lbs. Asssembled of course, these engines come out to 520lbs unless you use a lighter intake or fewer accessories.
