You may certainly try. Just take it to the bank and see what they say. However, do NOT send Holden any money in the meanwhile. The scam is usually to ask you for a small fee or some such, so they can release the rest of the money. You figure, no big deal, I've got a check from them already...but then after you send your moeny, you find out that their check doesn't clear!
It would appear that there is no such company, since it does not have a website. Also, why would this Barrio Food's company be involved in issuing a check for some bogus Mega Millions sweepstakes and have a Canadian phone number? This company and any company reportedly related to it (e.g. Holden Financial, Inc is a US insurance company and has nothing to do with paying out sweepstakes winnings) is obviously a fraud.
