You would think that the rainforests soil was very fertile and rich due to the enormous amounts of plants growing there on their own. However, the rainforests soil is not rich or fertile at all. The torrential rain washes the nutrients and minerals away. So, instead of getting its minerals and nutrients from the soil, it gets them from fallen trees and rotting leaves. Therefore, if the rainforest is removed for farming it will not grow back without artificial fertilizers.
Deforestation for logging and farming in rainforest ecosystems directly contributes to habitat destruction, loss of biodiversity, disturbance of water cycles, and increased greenhouse gas emissions. This leads to negative impacts on wildlife, plants, climate, and overall ecosystem health.
Clearing land from the rainforest for farming is a major driver of deforestation, leading to loss of crucial biodiversity, disruption of ecosystems, and release of stored carbon dioxide into the atmosphere. This practice contributes to climate change and can have devastating effects on indigenous populations and the global environment. Efforts to promote sustainable agriculture and protect forests are crucial in conserving our planet's natural resources.
the stuff from farms are fresh and good for you. factory stuff is really bad.
drought. poor farming techniques. wind. bad combination!
The rainforest in central Africa is called the Congo Basin or Congo Rainforest. It is the second largest tropical rainforest in the world after the Amazon Rainforest.
chesse!
growing crops and farming
They were bad at farming.
Some bad things about the Daintree is:- Developers trying to knock down the rainforest- Poisonous plants like the Wait-A-While vine- Dangerous animals- Logging (cutting down all the trees so there's none left)- Farming (clearing the land for more farming)- Tourism (the more the interest in the Daintree grows, the higher demand of people come, resolting in more pollution to the clean rainforet air)~ Hope this helped!! :) xo
Like any vegetable it can be if produced using organic farming methods. Most major coffee blends offer a "fair trade" or "rainforest alliance" Rainforest alliance uses organic farming methods. Tierra from Lavazza is rainforest alliance.
Farming is bad
course
Tropical rainforest and it's good for Africa.
they use a long leaf to tr-owl the soil up
Slash and burn farming is detrimental because it destroys forest ecosystems, releases large amounts of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere, contributes to deforestation, and can lead to soil degradation and loss of biodiversity. It is considered unsustainable and harmful to the environment in the long term.
please help??
