Yes it is bad. If you live in low lying coastal areas, or areas that will suffer extended drought from climate change, then yes, global warming is not so great. That represents a considerable fraction of humanity. Many of the people in these sorely affected areas will seek to immigrate to positively impacted areas, which will represent another negative impact.

Global warming is not so great for coral reefs, and many species are expected to suffer extinction as the current pace of change is pretty dramatic. The earth has warmed and cooled in ages past, just usually not so rapidly. With a diameter of roughly 8000 miles, planet wide environment change was historically "glacially" slow. But with the onset of the industrial revolution we have really pumped up the rate of change.
