Yes Iron is a reactive metal but it is not an 'energetic' metal. The energy required to get a reaction started is low compared to something like Gold, and the amount of energy you get from a reaction is also low compared to something like Aluminum or Magnesium. So it is easy to get Iron to react but because the energy you get in return from the reaction is low the reaction does not progress quickly - it doesn't feed itself so to speak.

It is relatively easy to extract iron from its ores. The Iron age was well under way by 1000BC. However it is not as easy as Copper and Tin, which is why the Bronze age preceded the Iron age.

In refining Iron from its ore you put the iron ore in an oxygen deprived environment. This is done by surrounding the ore with coal so that the Carbon in the coal 'robs' the oxygen off of the Iron to foster its own oxidation. This gives the iron not chance to re-oxidize.

What factors determines the method used to extract a metal?

The method used to extract a metal is determined by factors such as the reactivity of the metal, its abundance in the Earth's crust, and the cost-effectiveness of the extraction process. Additionally, the physical and chemical properties of the ore from which the metal is extracted also play a role in selecting the extraction method.

What is the most effective method for kratom extraction?

The most effective method for kratom extraction is typically through the process of boiling the kratom leaves in water or alcohol to extract the active compounds. This method helps to concentrate the desired alkaloids and create a potent extract that can be used for various purposes.

What method do we use to extract more reactive metals such as aliminium?

Through electrolytic reduction.

DNA extraction from bacteria?

DNA extraction from bacteria can be achieved in various ways. Yeast is the best resource to extract the DNA bacteria from using extreme rapid extraction method.

What is the most effective kratom extraction method for obtaining high-quality extracts?

The most effective kratom extraction method for obtaining high-quality extracts is the solvent extraction method. This involves using a solvent, such as ethanol or water, to extract the active compounds from the kratom leaves. The solvent is then evaporated to leave behind a concentrated extract that is rich in alkaloids and other beneficial compounds. This method is preferred for its ability to produce potent and pure extracts with minimal impurities.

What problems are caused when extracting metals from their ores by displacement?

Using Electrolysis: is the most powerful extraction method. But it takes a lot of electricity and that makes it expensive. Hence, electrolysis is only used for the most reactive metals. The method of extracting metal from its ore depends upon how reactive the metal is. The more ractive the metal, the more difficult and expensive it is to seperate from its ore.

What method is used for separating curcumin from turmeric?

One common method for separating curcumin from turmeric is a solvent extraction process using organic solvents such as ethanol or acetone. This method involves grinding the turmeric root into a powder, mixing it with the solvent to extract curcumin, and then filtering and evaporating the solvent to isolate the curcumin.
