If a scientist were being modest, or trying to describe theory in layman's terms, then yes, this might be an accurate description.

However, a true theory is backed up by scientific data and observation, so guess might not be an accurate term.

A good theory, like relativity or quantum theory, has so much observational data backing it up that it is barely a guess any more.

Is it correct or incorrect in science to define a theory as someone's best guess about an aspect of nature?

Incorrect. In science, a theory is a well-substantiated explanation of some aspect of the natural world that is based on a body of evidence and has withstood testing and scrutiny. It is more than a best guess; it is a framework that explains a wide range of phenomena and is supported by multiple lines of evidence.

What are the division of science and its definition?

Science is typically divided into natural sciences (study of the physical world), social sciences (study of human behavior and society), and formal sciences (study of abstract concepts like mathematics and logic). These divisions help categorize the different fields of study and methods used to investigate and understand the world around us.

How did Thomas Kuhn define normal science?

Thomas Kuhn defined normal science as the day-to-day work conducted by scientists within a particular scientific paradigm. This work involves solving puzzles and anomalies within the existing framework of the paradigm through routine and systematic experimentation and observation. Normal science aims to elaborate and refine the existing paradigm rather than challenge its fundamental assumptions.
